New stuff for Moms!! And a contest to boot!!

I am developing a new line of charms for Moms and their kiddos! (Some samples above) How great is this! And all the mommies out there can participate! What words would you like to wear that are important to you? And do you have a favorite symbol or picture, or icon that you would like to see on the front?

I am having a CONTEST for all you mommies, and of course GRANDmommies, and of course, anyone else who wants to participate ! To enter leave a comment of what you would like to wear, or have for your child. I don't know about you, but I still call my mom, "mommy"! There is just something special in that don't you think?

Anyway, please leave your entries and ideas in comments below, or email me direct at Sandy@TobyandMax.com. Any person who comes up with a design that I add to the line, will receive a FREE one when I first make them!!! I should be making these within a month or so, so start those creative juices flowing and win yourself a free sterling charm to wear on your wrist or around your neck. That is if you can get it away from your little girl, as she will probably want to be a fashionista too! You can be wild and crazy with ideas. Let's have some fun!! Be sure to add your email address, website, or something so I can get in touch with you.

I have a disabled/retarded daughter. It takes a lot of energy, strength, courage, and commitment to keep moving forward.

It would be cool to have a design that honored moms of special needs kids.

Hi Renee, good to hear from you! I think your idea is indeed a special one. Something like
"special child/special love" or can you give me just a few words you think appropriate. I say just a few words, because these charms are on the small side to keep them cute and affordable.

Hi Sunie,
I thought I left a response yesterday but I don't see it here today. I love your ideas! Especially the two shorter ones, as I don't have a whole lot of space on a small charm. Thank you for participating!! Keep in touch, loved your blog too!

On the same lines of Sunie: My Child, My Everything!
Or inner change child for wife, daughter, sister, friend, etc.

I enjoyed looking at all your jewelry.

Some friends had on their wedding bands "Of one Heart" in Hebrew and I always loved that sentiment and wished I could have something like that...

P.S. I love jewelry and I like what I see here! Keep up the good work!

How about a round one that says, "You are my sunshine" with a big smile under the words like a vertical parenthesis

Sandy said...

HI Jennifer,

thank you for your comments. I really like the one you suggested. You did not leave me a way to get in touch with you or am I so dysfunctional as to not find it!!
That happens sometimes. If you don't want to leave your email on comments, email me directly and I am putting everyones ideas into a special 'contest folder'.

I'm afraid I reserve my creativity for graphics and fall terribly short in this department so I'll just share my personal feelings with you...

Wacky, I know but it's my interpretation of the unending joy my three sons bring into my life and how much God has blessed.

Hi Sharon,

You are such an interesting and imaginative person! Your blog blew me away, kind of like visiting a magicians house in the woods. I had alot of fun looking at everything. I am very happy to see the tutorials, cause I need all the help I can get with this blogging stuff.

The ideas you sent are 'magical' and I love how you have fairy dust thrown around too!! Thank you, Sandy

It's funny, I was just talking to my eldest daughter last night about have a bracelet made for her wedding (which won't be for a while) with our "ancestry symbols": a celtic cross, a fleur de lis, a Scottish thistle and a rose...and lo and behold I find you today! :)

Hello! Your jewelry is so beautiful! Love your blog (and your painting). :) Anyway, I love the jewelry with kids' names. I also love anything with handprints... what about 'sticks and snails and puppy dog tails' for a mommy of boys (and the other version for mommies of girls). I can't wait to see what you design!

I love my Mother.

Sandy said...

Hey Red, I am already doing one that says "I love (heart) my mommy". I hope mommy is more fun than mother. What do all of you think??? mommy or mother???

xxo Sandy

Heather,
I do want to do something for parents of special children. I like your idea of PATCH. thank you for the info.

Melanie,

I am going to do a new design with a baby's footprint. do you think handprints are better? I think they are both cool. Love the stick and snails...

I think things with kids hobbies would go over well. Ballet slippers, sports balls, instruments...

I like Red's idea of "You are my Sunshine" but I would want it to be a SUN! ;D

A little cherubic angel for representing a child that has passed...

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I love the "you are my sunshine and I think it would be cute to be a kid like drawing.

Here are also a few phrases that I had come through my mind as i was reading...

"A kiss makes everything better" Thinking about when my kids get hurt and all I need to do is kiss or even blow a kiss and it make everything okay. A bandaid with a heart would probably be a bit cheesy, right?

"I (or We) can do hard things" This is my new motto for our family. It works for everything from really hard trials to having a hard time cleaning rooms. My son will say he can't do it and I'll tell him this and then he tries somemore.

"Teach a child to fish and you change the world"

"Change the world one child at a time"

"H.A.P.P.Y I Love my job" - this one is silly, but I worked at a summer camp where we chanted this every morning. It seemed to help us enjoy our jobs more and I often find myself chanting it in my head on rough days along with the "I can do hard things"

"All you need is love"

I also like the idea of a charm of a child's hand (like a hand print) or I keep picturing these hand molds I made with my kids a big circle with a hand print/impression in it.

I'll be thinking of other design possibilites, but this was just off the top of my head!

I have one teenage and one almost teenage daughter so I would love something that represents the fact that they are the product of their choices- and with that a reminder to choose wisely- an owl charm with the face in a heart shape would be something I would love to have for them.

Hi again Sandy,

I was brainstorming again. Thought I would share some ideas...

"lovebug" a cute ladybug charm

"one small step" an encouragement charm that reminds us to always take that first leap of faith

"live your dream" a cloud or star

"always, forever" to tell them how much we love them (do you already have this one?) can't remember

Thanks Sandy
As always, looooove the jewelry and all the great ideas

Hi Stargirl, I love the owl and the face, 'wise choices', great idea.

Suniedawn, you have so many good ideas, I am partial also to the LoveBug on a Ladybug!!

Hi Clueless, I think this idea of yours is terrific, but I am not doing custom stamping at this time. I could do "Mommy love me" and "I love Mommy", how does that sound?

Liz, love your blog, and "love has wings", I don't know why, but I am partial to wings, can you tell??

I have a new page on FaceBook, Toby and Max Jewelry. Hope you can find me, I posted more pics there. Where is the 'like' or 'fan' button?

Thank you everyone, you have made this so much more worthwhile and meaningful for me to know you care enough to write me. XOXO

Hi Sandy!

Just found you this afternoon... Loving the chance you are giving to present ideas ~ can't wait to see how it inspires you. :)

Ideas: "Do Hard Things" ~ great challenge to our kids but us as well.

"You delight my Heart"

"You have my heart"

"My hands for a time, My heart, always" Hands and Heart imprint on other side

"I can"

"Endless Possibilities" with the infinity symbol on the other side

"Hugs and Kisses" with child and mother on other side or a pretty set of lips

"God knows"

"I care"

Blessings to you!

I love your round pendant with the wing on it, and just wanted to say I think it would be wonderful if you would add a custom name or word to the back of that for customers. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of my aunt who passed away a few months ago from breast cancer, who is definitely now an angel in Heaven, and this would be a beautiful necklace to wear in her honor if her name was engraved on the back.

Sandy said...

Hi Corinna,

I love the idea of putting your aunts name on the piece, but I am unable to do any custom names at this time. This may change when I get back to the states and have access to all my tools/goodies. What is your aunts name? Is it short, I will see if I have room on the piece to hand stamp it in. I know I just said I am not doing this kind of thing, but when I get so inspired to do something good for someone, I will always try to find a way.

Hi EFY,

thank you for your suggestions, I love them. I think the "I Can" is always good, I have a cuff that says "Yes, I can" and I like the 'Blessing to you'. I am thinking of doing one with "Be Blessed" on the back, maybe an angel on the front. What you think?

It is SO FUN talking to all of you, thank you so much for commenting and joining me on my adventure of creating new designs and ideas to inspire and show love.
xoxo Sandy
